Daily Mail & General Trust has sold a 75.1 per cent stake in the Evening Standard to the Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev for a nominal sum (see Media 3, p12). DMGT will remain a minority shareholder in the title and will continue to provide print and distribution services to the Evening Standard.
