The launch will take place at the festival’s Hyde Park Area, which organisers are billing as a mini east London in the heart of the capital. The event will comprise of taste testing, sampling and interaction with brand ambassadors.

Alongside the ice cream experience, Hotel Chocolat will also be hosting a School of Chocolate at the festival. This will be situated at its main stand at the Old Truman Brewery, meanwhile a one-on-one element of the experience will be held in the brand's Cocoa Bar, which will serve up Cocoa Bellinis.

Visitors to the school will be able to learn how best to taste, pair and discern the distinctive flavours of fine cocoa from around the world. Sessions will last 30 minutes and begin with an introduction from one of Hotel Chocolat's expert chocolatiers.

The London Coffee Festival aims to double in size following last year’s show. The 2016 edition will feature more than 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, while organiser Allegra Events promises a host of new multi-sensory experiences and a wealth of interactive workshops.

Other experiences include an Espresso Martini Party headlined by DJ Yoda, The House of Coffee and Co.’s coffee food pairing experience and latte art Masterclasses hosted by dairy brand Rachel’s Organic.
