Honda Racing to add green work

Honda Racing F1 is set to expand its Earth Car scheme by investing in a series of environmental projects during the 2008 Formula One World Championship.

Honda launched the Earth Car project, under which its racing cars carry an image of the Earth rather than individual sponsors' logos, last season.

Honda Racing F1 marketing director David Butler said Formula One's global reach gave the team the opportunity to raise awareness of climate issues.

The international scheme is supported by a microsite, myearthdream.com, where fans can make a financial pledge or promise to make environmentally friendly lifestyle changes.
