Hilton uses LIDA for bid to boost online bookings

LONDON - Hilton Hotels is embarking on a below-the-line campaign to drive reservations online for 250 of its hotels worldwide.

It plans to target guests during their stay and will work in multiple languages. Response marketing agency LIDA has developed posters, reception stands, bar coasters, matchboxes and bill inserts to promote the online service.

Hilton will produce the marketing material for the campaign on a local level. LIDA has developed a toolkit and a CD with artwork, which hotel managers can implement in their hotels.

The campaign follows Hilton's launch of eight local websites around the world.
