Hilton appoints start-up Latitude to planning account

LONDON - Hotel group Hilton UK & Ireland has appointed start-up media planning agency Latitude to handle its 拢1m account.

Latitude, launched last year by former WWAV Media director Anthony Clifton, won the business after a pitch against three other agencies. Direct MediaCom has won the buying side of the account.

Hilton's planning and buying business was previously held by WWAV Media. Clifton had run the account before he left WWAV.

David Anderson, Hilton's leisure marketing director, said: "We'd worked very successfully with Anthony Clifton at WWAV and the combination of this tried and trusted strategic partnership with the strength of Direct MediaCom's delivery was unbeatable for our purposes."
