Hilton appoints head of global brands

LONDON - Global hotel chain Hilton has appointed Paul Brown as its new president of global brands and shared services.

Brown is currently president of Expedia North America and the brand's partner services group. He joins Hilton on 8 December.

Prior to working for the online travel group, Brown was a UK-based partner at management consultancy McKinsey & Company, where he specialised in global travel and hospitality practice. He has also served as senior vice president of brand services at. InterContinental Hotels Group.

Earlier this year, Hilton introduced the 'Hilton Family of Hotels' moniker as a pan-European umbrella brand for its hotel chains across the continent, including Doubletree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn.
