Highland Spring joins list of Organic Week sponsors

LONDON - The mineral water brand Highland Spring has announced that it will co-sponsor Organic Week 2003, the Soil Association event that aims to encourage consumers to try organic food and drink products for the first time.

The Scottish brand hopes that the sponsorship will reinforce its market position as the first mineral water product to be classified as organic.

Highland Spring joins forces with co-sponsors Doves Farms Foods, a brand of organic farm produce, and the organic baby-food brand Organix.

"We are delighted to be a sponsor of Organic Week 2003 and hope that many new people will be attracted to the benefits of natural products as a result," Sally Stanley, marketing director of Highland Spring, said.

The event will run under the theme "Celebrate great taste". Organic farms across the country will be open to the public, while a road show will tour Britain, offering punters the chance to taste fresh organic produce. The event organisers will also ask youngsters to file reports on their school meals.

Organic Week takes place from October 4 to 12.
