HHCL Red Cell closes in on Travel Inn and Oxfam tasks

HHCL Red Cell is poised for a boost after picking up new business from both Travel Inn and Oxfam.

The double win, subject to a final presentation to Oxfam chiefs, completes a hat-trick for the agency, which was confirmed this week on the Sky Plus creative account.

Oxfam wants HHCL Red Cell to spearhead a campaign to improve trading conditions for the developing world. It chose HHCL ahead of Team Saatchi and its direct marketing agency, WWAV Rapp Collins, for a brief to build support for a global petition. It is hoped that the petition will be signed by up to 500,000 people.

The charity plans to run the advertising in advance of the World Trade Organisation's September summit in Mexico.

Travel Inn, the UK's biggest hotel brand, is expected to put up to £5 million behind a new brand-building campaign to follow the relaunch of its brand identity and logo.

The company, owned by Whitbread, opted to build a permanent relationship with HHCL after working with it on a small radio project.

Travel Inn had been working with the Sandom Group, whose Vibrandt subsidiary produced the company's redesigned logo.

The new identity will begin rolling out across Travel Inn's 300 hotels from the beginning of next month. The revamp will also extend to reception areas and staff uniforms.

Sandom produced Travel Inn's recent outdoor campaign, but Travel Inn is said to regard radio as a key business driver. Radio work through HHCL uses a voiceover by the actress Imogen Stubbs and the line: "You're in for a good night's sleep."
