Laurence, the company’s former director of film and video, has worked at HGA Creative since 2000, joining straight from university. He will take over from the business’ co-founder and chairman Michael Henderson.
Henderson said: "There is no-one better placed to take up the role of MD than Dan and he has proved his commitment and value to this business over many years. He and I have worked closely together over the last three years to prepare him for the role that will see him take the agency on to the next stage of its development."
The agency has ambitious plans to continue its growth and expansion, after a record-breaking 12-month period in which sales reached £2.5m and EBITDA profits were £400,000.
Laurence said: "This is a really exciting opportunity to shape the future of the agency and build on the excellent foundations already in place. We are immensely proud of the clients we work with and our incredibly talented team. To see the unforgettably positive reaction to the work that we create leaves me in no doubt that the possibilities are endless.
"Our approach of delivering outstanding, innovative solutions underpinned by exceptional client service levels will provide the platform for us to achieve ambitious growth plans. I look forward to leading the team and helping us realise our true potential."
HGA Creative works with a range of high profile brands including Shop Direct, Kellogg’s, Santander and Nationwide Building Society.
