Hertz to highlight benefits of Nectar tie-up

Hertz, which signed up with loyalty scheme Nectar last month, is embarking on a campaign to promote the range of benefits available to consumers through the deal.

Created by Start, the activity uses the strapline 'Hire at Hertz, anything else is pointless', and will be used on all promotional material.

Activity will run across a variety of media. A mailing will be sent to Hertz loyalty-scheme members, while branches will feature posters, window stickers and point-of-sale stands.

Car stickers on Hertz's fleet of vehicles will carry the line 'Nectar on board' in the style of 'Baby on board' stickers. Promotional vehicles will carry co-branding. Start has produced an online driving game for Hertz and designed pages for its website.

Hertz is Nectar's sole car-hire partner. Customers can earn two Nectar points for every £1 they spend on qualifying rentals. The deal was overseen by UK sales and marketing director Mark Tristam-Walmsley.
