The only representative in the final list from the UK was McCann Erickson London, which picked up a gold for its ‘Xbox Halo 3' campaign for Xbox.
The ‘Voyeur' work beat off stiff competition from three other entries, according to the jurors.
Also in contention were MTV Networks Australia's ‘Welcome Snoop', by Lowe & Rivet, ‘Speight's Great Beer Delivery' for Lion Nathan by Publicis Mojo and ‘Do'h Thank Heaven' by TracyLocke Dallas for 7-Eleven.
Armin Jochum, the chief creative officer of BBDO Stuttgart & Berlin, and jury president, said: "HBO Voyeur was a truly multimedia and multi-platform idea.
"The other campaigns were all of extremely high quality but they were not quite as shiny as Voyeur."
He also said that the Xbox work had really impressed the judges because it "came from a different point of view".
The US came out on top overall by taking three golds while New Zealand scooped two.
