PR Week, Haymarket's PR industry magazine, has appointed Alastair Brigg advertisement director.
Reporting to Stephen Farish, MD of Haymarket Public and Professional Publications, Brigg will be responsible for a team of 12 in the UK.
He will work closely with the sales teams on the US, German and Asian editions, and will broker global ad deals for the trade title.
Brigg, who started in his new role last week, will cover for Cathy McDonagh while she is on maternity leave. McDonagh is expected to return to the title in spring 2002.
Brigg was previously global ad director for Haymarket's Revolution portfolio.
Prior to that, he spent six months in Hong Kong launching Revolution Asia.
PR Week has a circulation of 18,207, going out to consultancies and inhouse PR departments.
As well as providing news on all aspects of the business, PR Week produces research into the size and shape of the UK public relations industry, including the annual top 150 consultancies league table and salary survey.
The PR Week awards are hosted in October, and a PR Week forum will be launched in November, playing host to the top 50 clients.
