Havas Sports & Entertainment hires new global strategic planning director

LONDON - Havas Media's global sports and entertainment division has appointed former managing director of Cunning UK, Fredda Hurwitz, as its global strategic planning director.

Based in France, she will be responsible for strengthening the network's strategic and planning capabilities for a range of international clients, which include Coca-Cola, Adidas, McDonald's and LVMH.

She will also support the new business development teams at the local and global level to help drive new business opportunities

With more than 20 years' experience in brand communications, marketing and sponsorship, her appointment signals a serious commitment to grow the business by

Havas Media, which is home to media agencies MPG and Arena BLM.

Lucien Boyer, chief executive of Havas Sports & Entertainment, welcomed Hurwitz's "enthusiasm and extensive experience" at what he termed a "key time" in the network's expansion.

Havas Media's global sports and entertainment communication and brand integration network operates through 20 offices including France, the UK, the US, Spain, Germany, Poland, China and Mexico.
