Havas is the company behind a data-mining tool that will be badged for ITV viewers as EagleAi. Havas executive digital director Lisa de Bonis will talk viewers through its findings as one of the expert guests on air with presenter Tom Bradby.
Ofcom guidelines preventing the undue prominence of a product or brand in news programming meant the tool could not be Havas-branded.
EagleAi uses computing power to analyse huge amounts of data from social posts, photos, videos, comments, online searches and press coverage going back to the nominations of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as presidential candidates in July.
Havas has a licensing arrangement allowing it to use IBM’s Watson technology.
De Bonis said: "EagleAi works a lot like a human brain actually, but on a scale that our brains are not currently able to do. It can spot connections and patterns just like us, just on a truly massive scale."
