Wnek, who together with Brett Gosper helped turned around Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper in the late 90s, is currently banned from using his name for two years.
However, Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper Partners is not expected to continue using his name, or that of Gosper, for much longer. Chris Pinnington, the group chairman of Euro Partners, confirmed: "It's unlikely to be continued long term."
In the meantime, the new agency is expected to use the initials of its founders instead of their full names. The pair has yet to announce a third partner, a planner, whose initial will also go over the door.
However, they have hired a finance director, Jamie Hewitt, who is joining from WCRS. Hewitt has worked with Langdon at both McCann and Collett Dickenson Pearce in the past.
Wnek said: "It's great to have someone as charming as Jamie on board, particularly because Ben and I are so unpleasant."
The agency will be based at offices on West Street. It is presently trying to sign a global media partner, which would enable it to roll its work out internationally.
