Hasbro loses key UK marketer after department rejig

Hasbro has axed the role of UK marketing communications director

Mark Trinder as it integrates the sales and marketing for Hasbro's Tiger

electronic toys business into the main Hasbro toy brand groups.

Trinder is understood to have left the company two weeks ago. He had

been at Hasbro for four years as the firm's number two UK marketer,

reporting to sales and marketing director Mike McCulloch, who left last

year.

His departure follows a restructure overseen by former Mattel marketer

Melanie Stubbing, who joined Hasbro as business head for toys and games

in December.

Three other marketing communications roles have also been axed. Stubbing

said it was a result of bringing into the group the Tiger brands, bought

by Hasbro about four years ago, but until now run as a standalone

business.

Hasbro's marketing has now been split between two roles. Former category

director Carol Evans becomes marketing director, overseeing boys toys,

games, and media, including agency relationships. Former director of

online, Anna Chapman becomes business development director.
