Hachette Filipacchi UK restructures for latest acquisitions

Hachette Filipacchi UK has unveiled details of its new management structure following its capture of key titles Elle and Red from Emap.

It is splitting into two divisions: women's titles, and teen, entertainment and classified. The women's group will run B, Red, Elle and Elle Deco with the other group comprising Inside Soap, All About Soap, tvhits!, Sugar and ElleGirl.

Cath Ware, previously a commercial director at Emap Elan, is joining Hachette as the commercial director of its women's group. Four ad directors will report directly to Ware. Clare Dempster joins as the ad director of Red. Jacqui Greaves continues as the Elle ad director. Michelle McQueen is the ad director of Elle Deco and Lisa Tookey, who recently moved from Hachette's soap titles, becomes the ad director of B.

Editorial teams from the Emap titles have moved over from Emap but Hachette had to make some external hirings on the commercial side.

Vivien Cotterill, the managing director of Hachette Filipacchi UK, said: "HF-UK wants to ensure that we provide targeted advertising and business solutions that are easily implemented but that we also maintain a relationship between the individual magazine brands and the clients and agencies."
