The Guinness World Records (GWR) new Employee Engagement experience aims to replace the commonly used role-play-based scenarios with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in an official and achievable record-breaking attempt.
Various formats for the new GWR service were trialled last year with businesses including P&G and Domestic & General.
Earlier this month, the United Biscuits UK sales team was the first to benefit from the new product and managed to topple 5,381 books, which they had arranged in a formation spelling ‘UBelieve’, achieving the Guinness World Records title for 'Most books toppled in a domino fashion'.
The GWR Employee Engagement bespoke package includes a dedicated event management team that research, devise and execute a record-breaking event that is aligned with what the company wishes to communicate to employees. The package is offered as a complete solution from brief to execution.
Mark Winter, sales director at United Biscuits UK and Ireland, said: "At United Biscuits we take great pride in our team spirit and the day provided an opportunity to strengthen this through a bespoke challenge, tailored to our focus on achieving even bigger and better things within the UK sales team this year. To have broken the world record is a fantastic achievement for the team, and was a fun way to kick-off the year while setting our stall out for a successful 2015."
