Guinness this week launches an inaugural pounds 2m TV and poster
campaign for its Guinness Draught Extra Cold as it looks to boost summer
sales.
The TV ad, targeted at an 18- 35 demographic, runs for four weeks on
various ITV regions as well as nationally on Channel 4, Channel 5 and
satellite.
Poster executions will run at 4400 sites for four weeks. Creative work
was by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO with media by Carat. The TV ad centres
on a set of twins, identical except for their choice of beer. They move
to sit down but someone has taken one of the stools away. The twin
drinking regular Guinness falls on his back, to a voice-over that says
’New Guinness Extra Cold Served at four degrees, it’s Guinness but just
that little bit cooler’.
