Guinness Europe’s new TV spot is a subdued look at life in the company’s St James’s Gate brewery in Dublin. The ad, created by Quaker City Mercantile as a one-off project for the company, features real Guinness workers, including a farmer whose family has been supplying the company with barley for three generations. The actor Cillian Murphy, who starred in 28 Days Later and Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, provides the voiceover. It was directed by Philip Montgomery through Anonymous Content. The campaign launched on 15 September and is supported by outdoor, PR and social media activity.
