The Guide Live reveals how to get event coverage from the world's press

Event magazine has teamed up with London & Partners' London Media Centre to ensure the world's press report on the event industry during the Olympics this summer, and you can find out how to get involved at The Guide Live.

Taking place next Friday (20 April) at Etc Venues St Paul's this session will see Chloe Couchman, head of communications for business and events at London & Partners and Jeremy King, editor of Event, explain how 6,000 members of the world's press, who are non-sports accredited journalists, will be looking for events to attend and write about from 27 July-9 September.

They will be heading to the London Media Centre at One George Street during this period and London & Partners and Event intends to put together a programme of events that they can attend during their stay. This is the industry's best opportunity to obtain coverage for its work on a worldwide scale.

Journalists from publications and television stations such as NBC, CNBC, USA Today, Rai and Al Jazeera will be among those looking to report on country's event industry.

Companies wishing to provide Event with details of their events, which they want the world's press to attend during the Games period should contact the team here.

The Guide Live will also be hosting a number of educational sessions on pertinent sector topics including ; ; and a session on the event strategy of Hornby.

These sessions are free for any inhouse brand event organiser, or agency event organiser who signs up as delegate for the The Guide Live. Today is the last day to register your interest, .
