The Guardian is considering an expansion to the US with the launch of a magazine.
Reports today suggest that Guardian executives have drawn up a dummy version of a weekly magazine to capitalise on its growing US audience.
The title could be sold in the US and would draw on the paper's reporting and analysis.
The Guardian already has an international edition, sold mainly on the continent, which has a circulation of 38,000 copies.
The Guardian will this week unveil a series of paid-for packages on its network of web sites Guardian Unlimited.
