On the day of the US presidential inauguration, The Guardian shared its "Hope is power" message to celebrate new vice-president Kamala Harris.
The print ad ran in The Guardian on 20 January, the day Joe Biden and Harris took office.
It features a shot of Harris against a bright yellow background and reads:
"1920 An American woman can vote.
1952 An Asian American woman can vote.
1965 A Black American woman can vote.
2021 A Black, Asian American woman can win.
Hope is power."
