The TV spots run from 11 to 29 July and will be shown on channels including ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, E4, ITVBe, ITV2, Sky Living, Sky1 and Comedy Central. They were created by Dog Ear Films, with Andreas Henn as the creative and artistic director.
They will be supported by an integrated drive across web, display, social and PR. The TV ads will also be shown in France, Germany and Italy.
All Response Media is handling the media planning and buying.
The company's first TV ads came out in 2011, during the time when it was launching an IPO, but Groupon said this is its first integrated campaign led by TV ads.
Groupon said the campaign would "show how customers can have a sensational summer by making the most out of every day and every experience", as well as highlight its breadth of deals and improved search functionality.
Frank Mertens, the EMEA group marketing director at Groupon, said: "This summer is packed full of amazing events; we’ll see lots of positive energy and excitement over the next few months.
"Groupon plays a key role for many consumers when it comes to making their summer truly unforgettable, helping them to experience things they have never tried before, go to places they have never seen, or simply help them to increase the quality and value of their everyday experiences."
