
The show, which originated in the US in 1953, was on ITV during the 1980s and was brought back by Five in the 1990s.
Five's new version will be produced by GroupM Entertainment and Gallowgate, the production company owned by ITV presenting duo Ant and Dec. It is due to air early next year and will consist of eight parts.
Richard Foster, managing director of GroupM Entertainment, said: "We acquired the international rights with Gallowgate in mind for the UK and thought our combined approach would be an ideal fit with [Five controller] Richard Woolfe's ambitions for entertainment."
Ed Forsdick, executive producer at Gallowgate, said: "Name That Tune is an iconic format, timeless in its appeal. GroupM came to us with an innovative proposition to revitalise it as an asset and bring it to air in the UK."
