Group M makes Day chief operating officer

Group M, the WPP media agency network comprising MediaCom, MindShare, Mediaedge:cia and Maxus, has promoted its chief financial officer Rupert Day to chief operating officer.

Day has worked at the WPP network for 10 years and has been chief financial officer at Group M since 2003. In his new role he will oversee the day-to-day running of the network.
Day will be based at Group M’s New York office and report to Group M chief executive Irwin Gottlieb.
Group M has also promoted MindShare’s US chief executive Marc Goldstein to the post of chief executive of Group M in the US.
