The equestrian test event will commence today (4 July) and run through to Wednesday (6 July).
It will be closely followed by the Modern Pentathlon UIPM World Cup Final taking place from 9-10 July.
Locog officials will be monitoring the east London green space to see how it performs prior to the Olympic Games next year.
A temporary equestrian arena – on a smaller scale than for the Olympic and Paralympic Games – has been erected to host the Dressage, Jumping and Laser Shooting (for Modern Pentathlon) and will seat 2,000 spectators.
A cross country course has also been installed, consisting of 26 jumps in the east side of the Park.
"Greenwich Park is a fantastic venue, and it is very exciting to be hosting world class sport here in the lead up to the Games," said Locog chair Seb Coe.
"This will give us a chance to test our plans and operational readiness. It also gives the residents and school children of Greenwich, plus the equestrian and modern pentathlon communities, a chance to witness world-class sport at this historic venue."
A total of 4,500 tickets for the events have been distributed to Greenwich residents and the equestrian community via Greenwich Borough Council and the British Equestrian Federation.
