Green & Black's chiefs net £5m

Mark Palmer, the marketing director of Green & Black's, will take a share of a multimillion-pound windfall following the firm's acquisition by Cadbury Schweppes.

The takeover, revealed earlier this year (Marketing, 18 February), will see Palmer and four other executive directors make a reported combined £5m.

Palmer said the deal is designed to allow US expansion, and that UK marketing agencies and budgets will stay the same. Brave and The Ingram Partnership are the company's ad agencies.

'It is not one of those acquisitions where the marketing director disappears and all the agencies are fired. We are all staying for the next chapter,' he said.
