Media 10, organisers of the consumer self-build and home design event, said the show has experienced year-on-year growth in attendance figures since its launch in 2005.
The company also said the show has gained an international presence after launching in Johannesburg, Sydney and Melbourne within the last two years.
Rob Nathan, group marketing director of Media 10, said: "To follow last year’s record numbers with yet another increase in visitor numbers shows that the exhibition is going from strength to strength, with no sign of abating.
"This rise is testament to the team that works so hard on ensuring it is a show that continues to evolve, offering exemplary content to visitors and this is reflected in rebook rates as well as footfall."
This year’s London show, which took place between 4 and 12 May, was opened by Kevin McCloud of Channel 4’s Grand Designs, and featured the latest in design, eco friendly homes, interior products, expert and celebrity advice, green building and renovation techniques.
More than 500 companies exhibited, including Miele, Electrolux and Samsung. The show featured six different sections - interiors, kitchens and bathrooms, gardens, build, technology and food.
It also highlighted the first National Self Build Week, running throughout 4-12 May. The annual awareness week was organised by the National Self Build Association and Grand Designs Live, and is supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
