Granada Plus revives Magnum PI show

Granada Plus is appealing to the public's nostalgia for the 1980s

with a new ad campaign that promotes next month's revival of classic 80s

show Magnum PI. The light-hearted detective series, set in Hawaii and

starring Tom Selleck, arrives on Granada Plus on September 18. It is

being backed by an ad campaign created by Archibald Ingall Stretton

across national press, radio and 48-sheet posters. The ads focus on

iconic memorabilia from Magnum PI, such as a Ferrari, the Hawaiian shirt

and Magnum's moustache. One execution, which breaks on September 15,

takes the form of a devout fan's shrine, which is a kitsch tribute to

the series and to Magnum himself. Media for the campaign is by Rocket.
