
In his new role, Ellis will retain his digital and business development duties, but will also have responsibility for integrating the Newsquest Media Sales sell across various platforms.
The sales house will now sell across Newsquest's entire portfolio, rather than having separate press and online teams.
Ellis said: "Everyone can now speak fluently about all our offerings: SMS, digital, newspapers and magazines."
Newsquest will not directly replace sales and marketing director Kevin Gallagher, who left in January. Some of his marketing responsibilities will be undertaken by Richard Thomas, the sales house's head of insight marketing.
