The quality men’s magazine has fared the digital age better than its 90s ‘lads mag’ rivals. Today, GQ has a coverprice of £3.99 and boasts a monthly readership of 398,000 and a combined print and digital circulation average of 130,009 for the first six months of 2013.

Unlike all of other men’s magazines, this compares favourably to its headline print circulation of 120,741 a decade earlier.

The magazine has been edited by Dylan Jones since 1999, who called 25 years "an eternity". He added: "We at GQ have seen the tectonic movements of sexual mores, career definitions and status anxiety, a quarter of a century in which men have continued to define themselves, through ambition, through creativity, through the ever changing prism of masculinity, and through their positions of fathers, sons, husbands and lovers… Here’s to the next 25 years."

Exclusively for ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 and Media Week readers, Jones has picked out his most memorable covers over the last 25 years, which can be viewed in the gallery above.

In recognition of the magazine’s milestone, 40 of London’s finest tailors and brands on Savile Row and Jermyn Street, will pay tribute in their windows, displaying the 'GQ 25th anniversary' logo, as well as in some cases GQ images or covers.

Further celebrations of GQ’s 25th anniversary include a photography exhibition and auction of the 50 greatest photographs to appear in the magazine over the last 25 years, at Phillips Gallery London, in aid of The Prince’s Trust.  The exhibition runs from 1st – 8th November 2013, culminating in an anniversary gala dinner and auction on 12th November.

The December anniversary GQ issue pays tribute to some legends of British music and British heritage brands. Photographed by John Wright and styled by GQ’s Jo Levin, the shoots include musicians Paul Weller, Roger Daltrey, Sir Elton John, Jarvis Cocker, Mark Ronson and Jamie Hince, among others.
