Earlier this week, the Crown Commercial Service contacted agencies on the Government’s lot one roster (for the provision of marketing communications and related services) that, following an internal review, it was extending their contracts by another year.
The extension will begin on 1 May 2015 and expire on 30 April 2016, and will bind agencies to the same terms as the original contract.
The roster is made up of ten advertising agencies and was chosen by the now-defunct Government Procurement Service, in February 2013.
At the time, several agencies that failed to make the roster – including Dare, Karmarama and Mother – appealed the GPS’ decision, complaining that the process was unfair and irrational.
The roster comprises: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO; DLKW Lowe; Engine; Enter; Inferno; Kindred; M&C Saatchi; McCann London; Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Ogilvy & Mather Group.
The Crown Commercial Service did not respond to requests for comment.
