Government encourages sex talk through new TV campaign

LONDON - The government today launched a new campaign to encourage people to talk about sex more.

The first execution in the campaign, by VCCP is an attempt to promote more open and honest discussions about contraception.

The TV spot is aimed at 16 -24 year olds and their parents, reminding the younger group that contraception can help prevent sexual disease and unwanted pregnancy.?

Gillan Merron, public health minister, said: Sex still seems to be taboo – too many of us are holding back from having the open and honest conversations that young people need to make informed decisions, including about when it's right to have sex.?"

The campaign features snippets of "contraception conversations" in speech bubbles, in everyday scenarios, such as in a shopping centre, or in front of the television.
