US search engine GoTo.com is extending its reach to Europe, with an
UK subsidiary being launched later in the year.
The company works with affiliate partners, such as ISPs and traffic
producers, to offer highly relevant search results.
Advertising revenue works on a paid-for performance model, with
advertisers paying each time their web site is accessed through GoTo
search results.
Although the new subsidiary will contain UK content, there will be no
GoTo.co.uk.
”We’re trying to make the searches as relevant as possible,” said Nick
Hynes, managing director for the UK launch.
