Gooden and Walker defect from TBWA to Wieden & Kennedy

Wieden & Kennedy London has lured the creative duo Ben Walker and

Mat Gooden from TBWA/London.

The team will work across the agency's range of accounts, which include

Nike and the recently acquired Honda business.

The team, which has been together for 12 years, joined Simons Palmer in

1996. During their time at the agency they produced the

headline-grabbing Accurist ad - which featured a skinny model and the

strapline "put some weight on" - and the NatWest animated campaign that

won awards including a silver at the Creative Circle Awards in the "best

ad" category.

Before joining Simons Palmer, Walker and Gooden spent six years at Leo

Burnett. While at the agency they worked on the Mercedes-Benz, Daily

Star and Oxfam accounts. Their work for the Guinness Book of Records won

a gold at the One Show.

Walker said: "You don't leave TBWA unless you've got something really

exciting to go to. This is. We can't wait to get cracking."

Tony Davidson, the joint creative director of Wieden & Kennedy, added:

"They are perfect for us because they have loads of energy, a history of

creating great campaigns and they're always looking at ideas outside of

traditional advertising - and they have contrasting haircuts."
