Yellow Submarine was wound up after going into administration at the end of May with the loss of 14 jobs, including Ledward, client services director, and Neale, associate director.
Golley Slater chief executive Chris Lovell said that he has been keen to add a promotional business to the agency's portfolio for some time, and acted once the pair became available.
Ledward has been appointed as managing director and Neale as associate director, concentrating on client services, of the new promotional unit.
"When I heard that Yellow Submarine had collapsed I put a call in to them both and offered them the opportunity to head up a new start-up division, Golley Slater Promotional Marketing," he said.
The official launch of the division is planned for next Wednesday, and the two have already started work at Golley Slater's London offices.
"Both Cal and Eileen are highly regarded in the industry, having handled some major clients like Channel 4, Canon UK, Pernod Ricard, COI and Mattel," he said.
Neale and Ledward will work closely with Suzanne Coleman and Rebecca Braithwaite, the co-founders of Golley Slater Direct.
Golley Slater employs 270 staff, has group billings of 拢90m and has 12 businesses, including advertising, direct, telemarketing, PR and recruitment advertising.
