Golden Wonder runs football instant win

Golden Wonder is rolling out a prize giveaway push following its appointment of Triangle Communications to handle promotional activity across the Wotsits and Nik Naks product ranges.

The campaign, aimed to coincide with the World Cup, is offering 500,000 prizes, including football supporters inflatable "whammers", mini football radios, mini football tables, Playstation 2s, and widescreen TVs.

ITV's Ant & Dec front the "Goalden Shoot Out

interactive phone-in push.

Both stars appear on promotional single-packs and multi-packs of Wotsits and Nik Naks variants. They also voice the phone-in game and feature on POP material.

Promotional packs will have a "squad

code printed inside each bag which consumers must quote to be eligible to play. Consumers can phone in to play a penalty shoot out game in which Dec appears as a referee with Ant in goal. Using voice recognition technology participants direct five shots, high, low, left or right and find out immediately if they have won a prize.

Golden Wonder senior brand manager Tina Martin said that its research had shown that kids enjoy taking part in interactive promotions and like the involvement idea of their favourite celebrities.

The push runs until 30 September.

- Columbia Tri-Star Home Entertainment has appointed Triangle to promote three major film releases over the next 12 months. Triangle will be recruiting third party brands to support the rental and retail release on VHS and DVD of Spiderman, Stuart Little 2 and Men in Black 2.
