The range, called Gorgeous, will comprise of bath and body products. They will initially be available as a limited edition for Christmas 2009.

Products include body scrub, shimmer shower cream and hand cream. Gift set prices range from £12 for a body wash, spray-on moisturiser and shower cap to £35 for a set of minis in a vanity case. A ‘Hey Gorgeous' selection of ‘regimes', in a pull-out style case, will sell for around £40.

Commenting on the range, Wan said: ‘I feel passionate about my girls and believe you deserve to feel fabulous, no matter how much time you have or whatever your budget is'.

In March, Boots announced like-for-like sales increases of 1.3% for the financial year ending 31 March 2009. Its total revenue was up 3.2% and trading profit increased by 11.6% across its health and beauty division.

Wan, who is also an ambassador for Specsavers, isn't the first celebrity to launch a body care range for Boots. In 2005, Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson launched her first bath and body collection with the retailer.

The range featured 14 products and rolled out exclusively to Boots in the UK, before being launched in Selfridges. It consisted of products such as Desperate to Detox Bath, Fruit and Honey Exfoliator and Firm and Flawless Body Cream.

Last year, the model relaunched the range in the store, with a new look inspired by her Australian heritage and ‘holistic' approach to life.
