Harris will be a member of the executive leadership team and report into chief executive Matthew Crummack. As well as GoCompare, she will be responsible for discount code site MyVoucherCodes.
Since 2013, Harris has led marketing at the newspaper publisher, which changed its name to Reach last month following the acquisition of the Express and Star papers.
She has broad experience of the UK media industry, having previously worked at The Guardian, ITV, NBC, Hearst, MTV and Channel 5, before joining WCRS as strategy director in 2011.
Harris will replace Richard Harris, who is leaving Go Compare at the end of this month.
Harris said: "GoCompare is a company with a clear purpose, a driven team and exciting plans for the future, so suffice it to say I’m really looking forward to playing my part in helping the Group realise its ambitions.
"The Group’s single-minded focus on helping people everywhere save time and money – be that on things they need or things they want – resonates with my experience of understanding what makes mainstream Britain tick, and finding new ways to make the everyday lives of people that little bit easier."
Crummack added: "Zoe’s background in media, with an enviable track record of helping develop some remarkable and impactful brands, makes her an ideal fit for the Group."
