GMTV to introduce user-generated content

GMTV is introducing a blogging platform that will allow its audience to participate in debates, features and competitions by uploading video clips from their desktops or mobile phones.

The programming strand has signed a deal with interactive entertainment company Yomego which will provide the infrastructure for the mobile, web and TV link-up.

Yomego will create wap and websites content with the functionality to allow viewers to upload their video clips, which can then be broadcast directly to TV.

Before Christmas, GMTV is launching viewers' video Christmas cards including expats sending clips in from Australia. A site on GM.TV will allow friends and family to search for their video card from their relatives. The service will be promoted on-air.
