GM seeks launch agency for SUV

General Motors (GM) has kicked off a pan-European pitch for the launch campaign of its Antara sports utility vehicle late next year.

The pitch will be contested between roster agencies Delaney Lund Knox Warren, McCann-Erickson and two unnamed agencies.

The winning agency will produce work for the SUV, while McCann-Erickson will adapt and roll out the advertising across Europe.

The pitch is part of GM's new practice of calling pan-European creative reviews for individual European Opel/Vauxhall campaigns.

The change in strategy is intended to enable the struggling car giant to make substantial savings on production costs. Lowe recently won work for Vauxhall's Meriva through the same process; the marque is currently holding reviews for its Corsa and Astra models.
