The move comes as Glorious!, which also provides pasta sauces, looks to differentiate itself from its rivals by focusing on the cultural diversity of its products and appealing to a younger audience.

Matthew Stephenson, marketing manager at the TSC Foods-owned brand, said: "We felt it was time for the brand to stand on its own two feet."

White had previously featured on the packaging and marketing material for the brand, which is listed in a number of supermarkets, including Asda and Sainsburys.

His name has now been removed from the premium brand's labels.

As part of the revamp of the range, three new recipes have been added to the core meal soup range. They are Spanish Tomato & Chorizo, Sunny Thai Chicken and Malaysian Chicken.

Additionally, a new range of lower-calorie Skinny soups has been added.
