The installation will be open to all customers travelling through Terminal 5 until 3 January. Said to be the largest Amazon Prime box ever, it comprises an Amazon Video movie theatre box, ticket booth and a kid’s area, which features Amazon Original’s series for children, Tumble Leaf.
Kids will be able to interact with Tumble Leaf in the play area, watch footage on the TV and interact with the TV programme via Kindle devices. Content from upcoming Amazon Original series' will also be screened for adults.
Brand ambassadors are handing out tickets to customers to enter the box, using the mechanism to surprise guests with Amazon and JetBlue giveaways such as gift cards, Kindles and tickets.
The box is manned during key hours on select days, and functions as a lounge where customers can sit and watch pre-programmed content at off-peak periods.
The activation is in celebration of Amazon and JetBlue’s partnership, which offers on-demand in-flight entertainment to the airline’s customers.
