Marvel Comics has teamed up with the New York arm of Japanese brasserie Ippudo to launch a superhero culinary experience.

The special collaboration event will take place from 25-26 February at the Ippudo restaurant on West 51st Street.

Beginning at 5pm, the experience will showcase a special ramen dish that pays homage to Marvel characters the Avengers. The contents of the dish are being kept under wraps, however Ippudo promises it will be 'interactive'.

Marvel X Ippudo has been devised by C.B. Cebulski, Marvel's senior VP of creative and creator development, and Fumihiro Kanegae, Ippudo's ramen master. Guests to the event will also receive a special collaboration T-shirt by artist Matt Waite and drinks selected by Chiizuko Niikawa-Helton of Sake Discoveries.

Only 40 seats will be available at the restaurant per day, and the brand is encouraging interested New Yorkers to queue up for a place.
