
Tickets cost £205, a £10 increase on the last festival in 2011, when tickets were £195. A £5 booking fee and £6 postage and packing charge are also applied.
Next year's music festival takes place on 26-30 June, after a year off for the festival in 2012.
Dave Newton is co-founder of website WeGotTickets, which sells tickets for more than 700 festivals. He told Event festival price rises in recent years were now slowing down.
"In festivals' hayday, artists were paid more, equipment hire charges increased, and tickets prices had to follow. A couple of years ago prices were flying up, especially among the small to medium festivals. You were getting events that had been £35 for a weekend going up to £100 over a period of two or three years. I'd say 2010 was the point where we saw things stop expanding and come off the boil.
"We're now seeing a slowing down of price increases and even some price drops this year. Events that were selling out were no longer doing so, and this year some events didn't take place because of the Olympics or because last year's events hadn't gone that well."
Newton continued: "We'll probably see festivals being a bit more cautious about wanting to put their prices up. They will have to work harder to attract people to their events by distinguishing themselves. A good example is Secret Garden Party, where it isn't crucial which acts are playing as long as they fit the style of the event. It's more about the special nature of the festival through elements like fancy dress."
