The events include a mixture of repeat and returning business, as well as new events taking place at the Glasgow venue. It forms existing association events and meetings confirmed at the SECC up to and beyond 2020.

The 7th International Conference of the Society of Acute Medicine 2013 has been secured, as well as events planned for 2014 with the British Renal Society and the Renal Association; the Association of Corporate Treasurers; the International Marine Conservation Congress; the Congress of the International Society of Urology; and the Vascular Society.

The venue has also confirmed the return of the British Pain Society for its Pain 2015 conference and the European Conference of the International Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research meeting, also in 2015.

Ben Goedegebuure, sales director of the SECC, said: "These are great pieces of business for the venue and the country, and only serve to underline the excellent partnerships we have with our customers in the association sector.

"Our customers value the quality of service we bring to their events and we’re looking to give them a warm welcome at the SECC."
