Speaking to Event, co-founder Susannah Mountfort explained that the format will run similarly to the company’s previous events, which took place on the east London Overground line from 2013 finished this May, colloquially know as the Gingerline.
While the dates of the pop-ups are yet to be confirmed, Mountford said tickets for Gingerline Jubilee will become available on 1 September.
Guests to the immersive experience, the last of which was themed around a futuristic starship, will be told to wait by any stop on the Jubilee line before 6pm. They will then receive a text telling them where to go for the culinary experience.
Mountford explained the company has no plans to cement a final finishing date for the events, or to allocate a specific amount of tickets. "Gingerline’s a project that’s grown beyond our expectations. We have a flexible relationship with the venue so will only stop doing it when we feel it’s run its course."
"We’re always on the search for the right locations, which is part of the reason we’ve moved over to the Jubilee line."
Guests will enjoy a meal of at least four courses cooked by a selection of chefs, who have yet to be confirmed. Tickets will cost between £53 and £58 per person.
