Gift with purchase: Velvet cashes in on blockbusters for cinema push

More than one million UCI cinema tickets are to be given away in an instant prize promotion on toilet tissue brand Velvet.

The multi-million pound campaign, through Chemistry, kicks off this month (July) and runs in supermarkets nationwide, including Sainsbury's, Somerfield and Tesco.

Purchasers of special nine and four-roll packs of Double Velvet toilet tissue will be offered tickets to screenings of this summer's blockbusters.

Velvet's senior brand manager Nick Dudman claimed: "This is the largest promotion of its kind for this category and for us. We are demonstrating Velvet's commitment to giving consumers real added value."
