The stunt is for the New Covent Garden Soup Company, whose soups will be handed out in flavours such as 'scrumpy chicken' and 'carrot and coriander'.
Three tonnes of steel and 110sqm of PVC were used to build the soup carton, which holds 107,000 regular cartons of soup - enough to feed 214,000 people.
Every time someone slides down the giant ladle, the New Covent Garden Soup Company will donate a cup of soup to The Connection at St Martins-in-the-Field soup kitchen for the homeless.
Would you slide down the ladle? Comment below and let us know.
